CUP Public Activities Suspended

All Public Activities and Committee Meetings are currently suspended due to COVID 19 restrictions.  We will post on website, our Facebook Page and email Committee Members when these activities are able to be resumed and are rescheduled.  The staff is continuing to work to develop the various portions of the Study  to include Land Use elements, compatible issues and uses, design of additional public surveys, data mapping, etc. Thank you for your continued interest in the Fort Knox CUP process.  If you have suggestions, concerns or require additional information, please don’t hesitate to contact us.  info@missionknox.org

CUP Executive Committee Meets

The Fort Knox CUP Executive Committee met at the Lincoln Trail ADD January 9th.  The Committee was briefed by the staff on the overall status including data acquisition and the results of the public meetings and the initial public survey.  Discussion was held regarding the upcoming schedule, further data analysis and meetings with government officials and staff to discuss land use issues.  The need to improve public involvement and methods for outreach were also topics.   A report on the public meetings and survey reports is available on our website HERE.

Public Meeting Held at Meade County Courthouse

The Lincoln Trail ADD conducted a third public meeting to obtain input for the Compatible Use Plan study at the Meade County Courthouse on Monday November 25th .  A large group of citizens from Meade as well as Bullitt and Hardin Counties were in attendance to see a presentation and various displays regarding the status and background of Ft Knox and its vital economic support for the surrounding communities.  The next public meetings will be conducted of May of 2020.

Public Meeting Held at Shepherdsville City Hall

The Lincoln Trail ADD conducted the a public meeting to obtain input for the Compatible Use Plan study on November 13th at the Shepherdsville City Hall.  A presentation and various displays regarding the status and background of Ft Knox and its vital economic support for the surrounding communities were available.     For more information see the story from The Pioneer News HERE.  The next public meeting will be held at in Brandenburg at the Meade County Courthouse on Monday November 25th from 5:00 to 7:00pm.

First Public Meeting Held at Radcliff’s Colvin Community Center

The Lincoln Trail ADD conducted the first public meeting to obtain input for the Compatible Use Plan study Thursday evening at the Radcliff’s Colvin Community Center.  The open house presented various displays regarding the status and background of Ft Knox and its vital economic support for the surrounding communities.   A brief program regarding the CUP process was also presented.  For more information see the story from The News-Enterprise HERE.  The next public meeting will be held at Shepherdsville City Hall on Wednesday November 13th from 5:00 to 6:30pm.

 

 

What is CUP? Presented to LTADD October Board Meeting

Lincoln Trail staff presented background information to the Lincoln Trail ADD Board of Directors October meeting.  The presentation focused on the local economic impact of Fort Knox and an overview of its mission.  They were provided details of the CUP process and schedule.   The upcoming November Public Meetings and the availability of the website and new Facebook page to obtain more data and see an upcoming events calendar was discussed.  A copy of the presentation is available on our “Library” tab in the “Presentations” folder.

CUP Joint Committee Launch Meeting Held

A joint meeting of the Fort Knox Compatible Use Plan Executive and Technical Advisory Committees was held on Friday Sept. 20th.  The meeting held at the Colvin Community in Radcliff; provided an introduction to Fort Knox’s mission presented by Major General John R. Evans Jr. the commanding general.  Background for the CUP process, the role of the committees and details of upcoming events were provided by LTADD staff.  A public survey and public meetings are scheduled for November.
